After having run an independent food store in Hoegaarden for 32 years, we chose to turn our lives around and make our biggest dream come true. We lost our hearts to the beautiful Andalusia, the beautiful nature and the mild climate. Our search brought us to an old cortijo near the lake of Viñuela en la Peña del Hierro. After a few months of hard work and renovations our dream came true. Cortijo Loma León has been renovated into a comfortable bed & breakfast with four furnished guest rooms. We are ready to welcome you and spoil you as much as possible!

Cortijo is Spanish for farm or estate. Some old stables are still standing, but the rest of the old farmhouse has made way for new rooms with all the necessary luxury, in the authentic Andalusian style.
Loma León is Spanish for Lion Hill, named after the hill we are looking forward to.
Our B&B is the ideal base for cultural day trips (Granada, Malaga, Ronda, Cordoba and Seville are all less than 2 hours drive away). After a day of citytrips you can enjoy a dip in our (heated) swimming pool and a nice drink from our Honesty-bar. Nature lovers can enjoy the beautiful nature on foot or by bike (including Lake Viñuela and natural park La Peña del Hierro) or the large nature parks at less than an hour’s drive (El Torcal, Montes de Malaga).
A blissful day doing nothing? That’s also possible, on the sun terrace along the heated pool, with a refreshing drink from our honesty bar.
